Motorcycle Camping

Information for Motorcyle Camping Enthusiasts

In 2004 Sherri and I purchased a new Gold Wing and it quickly became our primary source of transportation when traveling. After several trips to the mountains staying in motels and cabins ,I had the idea that I would introduce Sherri to camping. Now I already knew this was not going to be an easy task because she was used to having all the comforts of home when away from home and the mention of sleeping in a tent wasn't going to go over very well.As for myself I had camped many times in my younger years and really enjoyed being out experiencing nature. So I got to searching to see what I could come up with to make our transition to motorcycle camping go as pleasant as possible. Looking through the various motorcycle campers and trailers ,doing a little research I decided to go with the aspen classic. this is a pop up tent camper that can be pulled behind a motorcycle ,setup is very easy and quick,it offers a lot of storage space under the deck to carry all of your camping supplies with you. When unfolded it has a king sized bed that is off the ground and a large dressing area off the end of the bed . It is high enough to stand upright in even for tall people and all of your gear is stored under the bed so you only have to get out what is needed. this was a feature I really liked as some of the other campers had to be unloaded before you could actually use your interior space.Sherri still wasn't very keen on the idea of motorcycle camping at that point , but after seeing it set up in our yard ,seeing the amount of space it had and the fact that it had a bed and she wouldn't be sleeping on the ground I convinced her to give it a try.

More to come.......
